I disapprove of the proposed amendments to the Planning Act under the Cutting Red Tape to Build More Homes Act, 2024. Removing the Minister’s authority to make Community Infrastructure and Housing Accelerator orders undermines a critical tool for addressing community-specific housing needs. Read more

The proposal to use a Ministerial Zoning Order (MZO) for a high-density residential development near Langstaff and the Highway 400 onramp raises several serious concerns, both in terms of urban planning and community well-being. Here’s Read more

UNACCEPTABLE! To consider placing 4, 32 story apartments in an already congested area is irresponsible. Not only will there be increased population density in a very small area, we will likely see an increase in crime. This plan will disrupt community character and aesthetic of our neighborhood. High-rises do not belong in residential areas that are already congested. We don’t want more congestion. The better place would be near the Vaughan Metropolitan in Centre or along the subway line. That way residents could have quick access to the TTC and not even need a vehicle to commute. Read more

This proposal makes no sense whatsoever. The experts told you why it should not proceed. It is very isolated, the lands are employment lands, congested already without all these added units, access is very limited, infrastructure is not there. This is a disaster waiting to happen. Read more

I oppose the plan being put forward for this land. The new rules on housing creation seem to be used as a free pass to approve development that is not responsible. That land is beside the highway and has no link to any other residential areas. Read more

In Weston Downs and surrpunding communities we already have too much traffic and congestion. The transportation infrastructure is insufficient presently to handle all the cars particularly in peak morning and evening rush hours. Read more

I fully oppose this proposed development. As a long time local resident I feel strongly that this is the wrong area for this type of high density housing. Traffic is already grid lock in this area with no plans to improve it. Read more

We are opposing to the four 32+ storey apartment buildings on Langstaf and Hwy400. Too many buildings and houses but not enough room on the roads. It’s taking us three to four times longer to get to work or to go grocery shopping. Read more

We are very concerned to learn of this new building. We find that the traffic on Weston road southbound is already a big concern and with the added population the new construction would cause severe congestion at the already the cities most congested corner highway 7and Weston Road. Read more

The four 32 story apartment buildings on Langstaff and Hwy400 would be a disaster. There is already too much traffic and crime in the area and this proposed development would add to these problems. I sam strongly against this.

This area does not need anymore high rise buildings as on the 400 onramp is already congested with traffic. Langstaff is a complete disaster as are many other streets in the area. The other concern I have with so many residential buildings is where are our future generations going to work. Read more

Greetings, Hope this email finds you well. Intensification of this size and units presented will add to the congestion in the area. I would strongly suggest termination of the proposal or at least a down size in the development. Read more
