This proposal is to amend the existing Environmental Compliance Approval (Waste Transfer/Processing) No. 4912-5L9PJB for Terra Green Recycling & Transfer Inc., located at 86 Shorncliffe Road, Toronto, Ontario. The Site operates as an existing non-hazardous waste transfer station (NAICS code: 562110) able to receive, temporarily store, sort, and transfer non-hazardous solid construction, demolition, commercial, industrial or domestic waste (Waste), from residential, industrial, commercial and institutional sectors (ICI) within the Greater Toronto Area (also including Central Ontario).

The Site operates 24 hours per day Monday through Friday, 7am to 3pm on Saturdays, and 7am to 2pm on Sundays. The site has outer dimensions of approximately 193 meters by 43.5 meters. The site area is approximately 0.84 hectares.

The proposed amendment includes:

  • Increase the solid non-hazardous waste that may be accepted & removed from the Site per day to 990 tonnes from 650 tonnes;
  • Increase the total amount of waste (including recyclable material) that may be stored on-site at any one time to 4,000 tonnes, from 2,715 tonnes.
