Accuride Canada Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for an amendment to the Limited Operational Flexibility for an Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 0312-9NVJDB for Accuride Canada Inc., a light and heavy truck wheel production facility located in the City of London, Ontario.

The emission sources from the manufacturing and associated processes that discharge to the air include natural gas combustion equipment, propane combustion equipment, cooling towers, welding, parts washers/rinse, powder coating, electrocoating, surface treatment before electrocoating, plasma cutting torch, disc machining processes, and spray painting processes.

The amendment includes renewing the Limited Operational Flexibility and removing the Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) from the facility. Emissions to the air from this facility include:

• chromium (VI),
• manganese,
• nickel,
• nitrogen oxides,
• particulate matter,
• sodium hydroxide, and
• noise.

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air). The limited operational flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
