This proposal is to amend the Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 4649-57YQR9 for Carmeuse Lime (Canada) Limited, a lime manufacturing facility located near the Town of Blind River, Ontario.
This application is for the removal of one lime kiln, and the replacement of one baghouse. The sources at the facility include kilns; baghouses; and ancillary handling, transferring, screening, crushing, and processing of limestone, coal, petroleum coke, and lime products. Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:
- particulate matter
- calcium oxide
- magnesium oxide
- nitrogen oxides
- carbon monoxide
- carbon dioxide
