The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-20-000291 to Argo Gold Inc. to undertake early exploration activities. The location of the activities is approximately 80 kilometres northwest of Wabasukang First Nation, Ontario, in Earngey Township, District of Kenora, North West Region.

Decision to Issue

A new Permit to Take Water No. P-300-3162307002 for Brookfield Homes (Ontario) Whitby Limited was issued on March 24, 2023 for one year. Water will be taken from five wells for construction dewatering purposes, located in the Town of Whitby, Ontario.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. P-300-1191667829 to Cornwall Gravel Company Limited for industrial purposes. Water will be taken from one pond located in the Township of South Dundas, United Counties of Stormont Dundas and Glengarry, Ontario. This new permit expires on January 16, 2033.

On December 18, 2020 the ministry issued an exploration permit located approximately 35 kilometres northeast of Whitesand First Nation, Ontario, in Ratte Lake Area, District of Thunder Bay,North West Region.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the following exploration permit applications: PR-17-11098A1 to Julie Selway (Agent for Power Metals Corporation, Orebot Incorporated, Peter Hermeston and Margaret Segouin) for early exploration activities in Case and Steele Townships

The decision is to refuse the permit.

Permit to Take Water No. 5806-D29LR5 was issued to GIP Paving Inc. on February 21, 2024, to renew Permit No. 6353-CKKL2C. Water will be taken from two wells for industrial purposes at the Mountain Nebo Asphalt Plant, located in Hamilton, Ontario for 10 years.

We have issued a Permit to Take Water No. 1756-CJXS5Q for Compass Minerals Canada Corp. on October 7, 2022, which cancels and replaces permit No. 6501-8ZUMPC. Water will be taken from three sources for mine shaft discharge purposes in Owen Sound, Ontario.

Permit to Take Water No. 7300-BAQNTK was issued on April 24, 2019, with an expiry date of April 15, 2020.

On March 1, 2021 the ministry issued an exploration permit located approximately 90 kilometres North West of Wabauskang First Nation Ontario, in Skinner Township, Corless Township, District of Kenora, North West Region.

An amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 8-3350-98-006 has been issued to Gazzola Paving Limited, a hot-mix asphalt plant located in Toronto, Ontario.

We have issued an amended Environmental Compliance Approval (Air & Noise) for A.G. Simpson Automotive Inc., an automotive parts manufacturer located in the city of Windsor, Ontario.

We issued an Environmental Compliance Approval to Waltron Limited to amend their existing Environmental Compliance Approval No. 0567-9TC3DY, issued June 15, 2015. Waltron Limited is located in Ridgetown, Ontario.

Minor consequential changes have been made to Ontario Regulation 299/19: Additional Residential Units. The changes are intended to bring the regulation into alignment with the Planning Act changes made by Bill 23, the More Homes Built Faster Act, 2022 regarding additional residential units.
