The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-20-000097 to Noble Mineral Exploration Company for early exploration mining activities located approximately 42.5 kilometres north of Timmins, Ontario.
We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. P-300-6170192634 on July 21, 2022 which cancels and replaces Permit Number 6553-92QMFG for Lakeridge Resort Limited for commercial purposes. Water will be taken from three wells for water supply and commercial snow making in the Township of Uxbridge, Ontario. The new permit expires on July 21, 2032.

The Director is proposing to issue a Director’s order under section 18 of the Environmental Protection Act to address hazards associated with 62 natural gas wells licensed to Glenfred Gas Wells Ltd., in the Country of Haldimand.
Approval is granted to amend the existing Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal site) No. 4053-BXUS8E, to include acceptance of non-hazardous liquid soil, and the acceptance, solidification, and transfer of non-hazardous liquid industrial waste at the site. Port Colborne Quarries Inc. has applied for a licence to operate a quarry below the water table from a site 106.3 hectares in size in the City of Port Colborne.
The Province has assigned housing targets to 29 selected lower- and single-tier municipalities in Southern Ontario. These selected municipalities will work towards achieving these targets by 2031.
