This proposal is for an Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air) which replaces all the current Environmental Compliance Approvals for Air at this facility and includes the addition of new or historically unapproved sources for all emissions from National Steel Car Limited.
A new Environmental Compliance Approval (industrial sewage) was granted to Ottawa D-Squared Aggregates Limited, for the establishment of stormwater management works at Leduc Quarry located at Lot 23, Concession 6, in the Township of North Stormont, Ontario.
On July 11, 2024, the director issued an order under section 136 of the Environmental Protection Act to the Parties. The order authorizes the Crown to use financial assurance for the performance of environmental measures which include overall site management and the completion of the Environmental Compliance Approval amendment application process.
