After hearing from stakeholders and considering the impact of the proposed federal Clean Fuel Standard, we are proposing to amend existing renewable fuel regulations to reduce greenhouse gases in the transportation sector, drive innovation and fight climate change.
A decision was made on October 20, 2020 to approve Regional Official Plan Amendment 33 to the Regional Municipality of Peel’s Official Plan, as adopted by By-Law 18-2020, without modification.
Notice of this decision was issued on October 21, 2020 to the Regional Municipality of Peel.
We issued an approval to the Recycling Depot GP Inc. for their 156 Disco Road, Toronto location to increase the daily receiving rate from 700 to 4,000 tonnes per day, increase storage from 900 to 4,000 tonnes maximum, to add municipal blue box materials and to increase the hours of operation to 24 hours per day.
A new Environmental Compliance Approval has been issued to Cielo Vista Farms, located on Part of Lot 7, Concession 7, Municipality of Leamington, County of Essex. The approved works include domestic wastewater treatment system servicing the greenhouse bunkhouses, discharging to the Hooker Drain adjacent to the property.

We’ve made amendments to the Wells Regulation to reduce administrative burden for the well construction industry, while maintaining protections for the environment, human health and public safety, and consumers.
We are seeking feedback on the design of a regulatory framework for commercial-scale geologic carbon storage projects in Ontario that would enable the development of technology-ready commercial-scale projects and the continued testing and demonstration of newer carbon storage technologies.

The Minister has identified 29 provincially significant employment zones that receive enhanced protection under A Place to Grow. Based on feedback, the Ministry has corrected any technical errors to the boundaries for zones and issued revised maps to be used in the Plan’s implementation but will still consider requests to review the zones.

We're providing incentives to eligible businesses that want to buy low-carbon commercial vehicles and technologies to reduce emissions. Our goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the movement of goods and non-passenger related services by encouraging a shift towards low-carbon fuels and emission reducing technologies.
The proposed guidance documents were posted under a previous version of the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe which no longer exists. As such, we have identified this as a posting that is no longer pertinent or active. This decision notice has been posted to advise the public that the government is no longer considering this proposal.
#CycleON Action Plan 2.0 identifies initiatives to help achieve the vision of #CycleON: Ontario’s Cycling Strategy. Action Plan 2.0 contains 38 action items that will continue to invest in cycling infrastructure, increase education and awareness of cycling issues, and develop policies and programs to support cycling.
