We are clarifying the administrative process that a person will be required to follow to request the addition of an industrial activity to the Emissions Performance Standards program. We are also providing information about the data the ministry requires to assess these requests.
The Minister has approved amendments to the Maitland Valley Assessment Report and the Maitland Valley Source Protection Plan. These amendments involve:
updating the vulnerable area mapping for the Century Heights drinking water system; and,
updating the groundwater protection zone for the Lucknow drinking water system
A Director's Order is being issued to authorize the release of approximately $34,000 of financial assurance to the ministry to retain a clean-up contractor to remove and dispose of waste oil that spilled on site and to take steps to reduce the risk of future spills at the site. A delay in issuing the order could result in harm to the environment.

The Ministry issued an Environmental Compliance Approval to Egan's Campground Inc. for the establishment of sewage works for the treatment and subsurface disposal of domestic sewage to service the existing seasonal Egan's Campground located in the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio, County of Simcoe.
A new Permit to Take Water for short term construction dewatering and long term drainage for Tippett South Inc. was issued. Water will be taken from a well located at 30 Tippett Road, Toronto. Permit No. 6618-BRHSHE was issued on August 7, 2020 for a period of 10 years.
We approved an amended Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) (waste disposal site) No. A680066 for a 6.3-hectare waste disposal site (processing/transfer). The ECA amends the approval of the existing transfer facility and approves a new anaerobic digestion facility.
This approval is for establishment, usage and operation of new non-municipal sewage works, for the treatment of sanitary sewage from Marina and Resort Facilities.

On May 13, 2025 application 57-C-242646 for provisional consent was approved with conditions. The application would sever a triangular piece of land from PIN 31386-0450 (approximately 81 square metres in size) as a lot addition to an adjacent lot (PIN 31386-0295) to resolve a driveway encroachment. The last date of appeal is June 2, 2025.
We approved the amendments to the assessment report and source protection plan for the Grand River Source Protection Area. The amendments update the water quality protection zones around 28 municipal residential drinking water systems, and include some new policies and revisions to previous policies to further protect drinking water sources.
