On September 20, 2024, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Minister's Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 368/24 in the Town of Ajax. The Town of Ajax requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order.

The application was cancelled.

A new Permit to Take Water No. 2765-CNVS57 on February 10, 2023, which cancels and replaces Permit No. 4265-8VDKFN for Waynco Limited for industrial aggregate washing purposes.

The permitted water taking will serve the Myer’s Pit in North Dumfries, Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Ontario. The new permit expires on February 1, 2033.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on February 1, 2016 in respect of Application 54-C-159406 for creation of one new agricultural lot on lands described as the west ½ of the south ½ of lot 5, concession 3, Cane unincorporated township, District of Timiskaming. This decision has passed the appeal date.

We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval No. A-500-7102515927 to Schuyler Farms Limited for the on-site sewage system servicing a large fruit growing operation that employs a large number of off-shore seasonal workers living in seven (7) bunkhouses (Buildings #1 - #7), located at 383 Concession 14 Townsend, Simcoe, Ontario.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on November 4, 2019 in respect of Application 60-C-192608 for a 0.07-hectare lot addition for land described as PIN42055-0072, Part 1, Plan 23R-6566 on Indian Lake (Alexandra Lake) in the Unincorporated Township of Smellie, District of Kenora. 

The Permit to Take Water No. 8085-D4CLGS was issued to Hamilton Golf and Country Club on May 1, 2024, for 5 years for commercial purposes to renew the permit 6406-AXVKFA. Water will be taken from four wells, one ponds, and Ancaster Creek related to golf course irrigation activities, located in the City of Hamilton, Ontario.

We are moving forward with guidance to help enhance the management of water takings in areas where quantity is a concern and where there are competing demands for water. We are also revoking the interim guidance on water bottling renewals at the same time that the enhancements to Ontario’s water taking program will be put in place on April 1, 2021.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted in respect of Application 60-C-191610 for the creation of one (1) new water access resource-based recreational lot for land described as PIN42150-1016, Pcl 5131, Loc G1503, on Hay Island, Lake of the Woods, Unincorporated Territory, District of Kenora.

On August 16, 2024, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing informed the Township of Perth South that he was refusing their request for a zoning order on lands legally described as Lots 11, 12 and 13 South Boundary Concession.

A new Permit to Take Water No. 0540-CCQK8U for Miller Paving Limited was issued on March 21, 2022 for aggregate washing purposes in the Township of Wilmot, Regional Municipality of Waterloo.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on June 15th, 2023 in respect of Application 60-C-224396 to sever a portion of shoreline allowance described as Part 1 Plan 23R5343 from Part 2 Plan 23R5343 and consolidate both the severed and retained portions to two abutting plan of subdivision lots.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 5832-CLQPNV on December 2, 2022, which cancels and replaces permit No. 4373-8TXQK3 for Capital Paving Inc. for industrial purposes. The permitted water taking will serve the Capital Paving aggregate operation in the Township of Puslinch, Ontario. The new permit expires December 1, 2032.

On December 6, 2018, ENDM amended the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998, to authorize the creation of a rate-payer funded subsidization Natural Gas Expansion Support Program. The amendment allows for regulations to implement program details. Both the amendment and the regulation are set to come into force on July 1, 2019.

This approval is for works of stormwater management of runoff from a 1.25 ha industrial land with a house and trucking storage facility, to enhanced (level 1) level of water quality and quantity control of post development 100-year flows to 5-year pre-development levels, including retention of 12 mm precipitation on the site for infiltration.

Approval of works for the stormwater management of run-off from a 8.955 ha industrial land with expansion of plant building facility, to enhanced (level 1) level of water quality and quantity control of post development 5 and 100-year flows to pre-development levels, consisting of Conveyance, surface ponding and wetpond for quality control.

A new Permit to Take Water No. P-300-7183625535 was issued on September 29, 2022, to 908 ST. Clair West GP Inc., as general partner for and on behalf of 908 ST. Clair West Limited Partnership, for a period of 10 years. Water will be taken from one well for other dewatering purposes, located in the City of Toronto, Ontario.
