We decided to amend the Renewable Energy Approvals regulation to add eligibility requirements so that only projects with the appropriate municipal zoning can be issued a renewable energy approval.
On August 12, 2020, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O.Reg.) 450/20 to facilitate the development of long-term care and housing. The Zoning Order supports the government’s initiative to enable long-term care development on government-owned lands.
