We are making changes to address duplication and overlap with the federal government’s requirements for toxic substances to reduce burden for facilities. Facilities with existing toxics reduction plans will no longer be required to review those plans. In addition, all facilities in Ontario will no longer have new planning or reporting required.

A new regulation for additional residential units came into force on September 3, 2019. The regulation is needed to facilitate how changes to the Planning Act are implemented and to remove certain zoning barriers related to creating additional residential units.

The government made changes to a regulation under the Planning Act to regulate as-of-right variations from setback requirements, reducing applications for minor variances.  The amended regulation can be accessed here:  https://www.ontario.ca/laws/regulation/060545

The ARA Regulation and supporting policies have been amended to clarify and streamline the process for amending an existing aggregate licence, permit or site plan (subject to conditions).

We have issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval for 2701884 Ontario Inc. for industrial stormwater management works servicing a proposed concrete plant, located at 803 West Street South in Fenelon Falls, Kawartha Lakes, Ontario.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval is granted to Wallenstein Feed & Supply Ltd. for the treatment and disposal of four process wastewater streams, as well as stormwater runoff from a drainage area of 8.2 hectares, serving a site with four feed mills located at 7307 Wellington Road 86 in the Township of Mapleton.

The ministry has issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval to NBRB Properties and Investments Ltd. for stormwater management works serving a warehouse and assembly facility, located at 15880 Robin’s Hill Road in the City of London, Ontario.

We have issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) to Raymond E Duhaime for the upgrading of the existing non-compliant on-site subsurface disposal system servicing the Linamac Lodge & Trailer Park, located on Lot 3, between Louise Lake and Lina Mac Road, in Daoust, Ontario.

This approval is for the establishment of works servicing a seasonally operated tourist resort and owner's permanent residence, for the treatment of domestic sewage and subsurface disposal of effluent, rated at a maximum daily flow of 16,775 litres per day.

The ministry has issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval to Pietro Finoro, for the establishment of sewage works, rated at 2,400 litres per day, to service a cottage located at 240 2 Road North, Conestogo Lake in the Township of Mapleton, Ontario.

The proposal notice was posted in error. This decision notice is posted to advise that the proposal is not subject to public consultation under the Environmental Bill of Rights.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval is granted to Skyberry Farms Inc. for stormwater management facilities serving a greenhouse development, located at 450 County Road 31 in the Municipality of Leamington, County of Essex, Ontario.
