On September 20, 2024, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Minister's Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 367/24 in the Town of Ajax. The Town of Ajax requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order.
The Minister of Energy has extended the completion deadline for projects contracted under the legacy Conservation First Framework by eight months, with a possibility of an additional four-month extension based on qualifying criteria, to offset delays caused by COVID-19.
