Hello, I am a long time resident of the Bass Lake area. I have no concerns whether the proposed area becomes park or not. I first hunted these properties 38 years ago and have since. I have watched the road through the swamp be swallowed and disappear as the land cares for itself. My concern is the loss of hunting on these public lands. It will be a personal and emotional loss to me, but also I believe it is a mistake for society. As this region becomes less rural and developed, there are fewer and fewer hunting opportunities and particularly few on public land. Please consider not making it park or if done, a regulation to allow hunting. Thank you.
