As the urban population of Ontario expands it parks become more important as recreation and environmental inspirations to its people. But they are becoming so congested that it is increasingly difficult to use them. All around them, including in key conservation areas such as the Niagara escarpment, development is taking place that should never have been allowed, gradually destroying our watershed and our environmental heritage. Provincial parks are a key component of conservation and their expansion not only affords a fabulous facility for urban dwellers, but also protects important parts of Ontario. I and my family are strongly in favour of their aggressive expansion.
