This sounds like a great step in the process for an otherwise very disappointing system. Never more than now after many years of hunting moose has it seemed like the moose system is broken and poorly managed. Let’s put it this way, the lobbying to fix the system has not been strong enough and anyone who can remember back to how moose hunting used to be can see that minimal tags available never mind minimal claimed has not been worse. I’ll give one exception that’s out of the hands of management that might or might not be impacting the populations and that’s the aerial spraying whether it is forestry specific or the chem trails of metallic particles that impact precipitation controlled by whoever else. This all needs to be fixed in our lifetimes.
A concerned hunter.
