My family history goes back to before the beginning of this area as a park, with direct family ties to the park and surrounding lands. Family members had also been long time park staff, with certificates of appreciation for their lengthy support and work for the Department of Lands and Forests, as what it was previously under.
At no time, were the cottages deemed to be a threat to the existence of the park, but actually a driving force behind it being considered "The Crown Jewell " of Ontario's parks. Let's continue to restore that title by working with the cottage community, not by working against it
Extend the term, but make the sale of the lots.
As Premier Ford has said, A Promise Made is a Promise Kept.
