I support the extension of the cottage lot leases for 14 years. The cottages are an important part of the economy of the southern Chatham-Kent area. This long-term community of almost 300 summer residences supports employment and local businesses in an area that needs it. Furthermore, they form a key part of the larger Erie shoreline recreational experience, which is developing, growing and contributing to the well-being of the entire southwest Ontario economy.
