This is an incredibly backwards thinking idea, without a bike lane not only is it more dangerous for bikes to be on the road but also causes even more congestion as cars will have to wait BEHIND the bikes rather than going past side by side. If this ends up being implemented after all the work done to add in bike lanes, and the public outroar of the removal, democracy is truly (and has already) been on the decline in this country.
