Proposed changes to Moose Secondary Draw for any one successful in their first choice to forfeit their points whether they claim the tag or not would be unfair to the party hunters that could have more than one member successful in secondary draw and only need one tag; therefore the other members would not claim theirs as a hunting party only needs one tag. Would it not be a good alternative to allow successful tag applicants a period of one week(for example) in the secondary draw to DENY their tag if it is not required and not make all hunters in a hunting party forfeit their points because they were successful. Rather than automatically take their points whether or not they claim the tag or not will greatly impact all future yearly moose hunters and the economic impact they bring to northern communities. (Since the entire hunting party will have no points!)
