Restrictions against dumping cleaner soils in landfills should not be pushed out another two years. With the amount of large scale infrastructure projects currently being proposed by the province, we are at a heightened risk of using up valuable landfill space at an extremely increased pace over the next two years! The long term risks associated with losing valuable landfill space for contaminated soils greatly outweighs the complaints and discomfort of any companies who have ignored the regulations and have failed to prepare for this provision thus far.
