This is a waste of taxpayers money and counter productive to achieving sustainable growth for our city. This decision is not based on empirical evidence that the bike lanes are detrimental to the city or traffic, in fact there was research to support the fact that bike lines reduce overall traffic and cities. Bike lanes make the city safer and it’s safer. It would be a waste of money to turn back now.
Ontario has significant challenges ahead, including with respect to housing and healthcare. I employ the provincial government to focus on issues that really matter and not waste our time resources or money on this non-issue.
