As a resident of the city of toronto, i am appalled with this plan. it is an absolute waste of taxpayer money, and will do nothing to improve gridlock. In fact, it will likely make gridlock worse, as drivers and commuters are forced to sit in traffic while construction crews rip up existing infrastructure. Instead of worrying about bike lanes, why not look at removing on-street parking from major arteries, like every other city in the world? Additionally, bike lanes are, and should continue to be, under the purview of the city of toronto. This provincial government should focus on those things - healthcare, education, social and mental health services, that matter to the entire province. Please stop wasting time, money and energy.
