So if my light vehicle fails it's emissions test say in December 2018, and i opt to not get any repairs done on the car but instead I opt to temporarily take the car off the road, park it in my own driveway until April 1 2019 when the e tests are cancelled. Does that mean I can attend the drivers licence office on April 2 2019 and they will renew my plates and licence plate sticker on the spot even though no emissions repairs were ever done on the car? This Even though I had no emissions repairs done on the car and the car still failed the etest and still over -poluting ? What is your contingency plan to close this gap? as I am sure many people will try and take advantage of this loophole.
