I'm not sure why the emissions testing is being cancelled. Even though I have a used vehicle and it's expensive and a pain for me to get this done (installing a new muffler to qualify, for example), I care about the planet, and am in favour of emissions tests--I live in an area of Ontario with a lot of cars, and I want to be breathing cleaner air. I won't be voting for the Ford government in the next election and if he continues to slash environmental controls I will be doing my utmost to aid the campaign against his government. Considering the state of the environment, and that we are a wealthy country cancelling the emissions testing is absurd and embarrassing. What about ethics? What about environmental leadership? This kind of behaviour is selfish, and I can't admire it.
