I, as a resident of Centre Wellington support the extension of the moratorium of water bottling permits. I think the community would benefit from this extension, provided that time is used effectively, to complete current water studies, regarding current and future needs of the community. As a rapidly growing community, it is the townships responsibility to ensure the needs of the people can be met, and the community grows proportionately. I feel if Nestle is permitted to begin, it will not be able to be stopped. This company is already taking millions of litres of water on expired permits because of legal loopholes, so it seems best to not let them begin. For our future, please take allow the time to understand the situation fully.
