Nestle has had a gift of virtually free ground water for its profitable sales for far too long.

The water belongs to the community and should not be sold at any price to a for profit private company.

This moratorium extension being proposed is the least the government must do at this time to protect the water table.

But Wellington watchers’s position makes more sense than anybody else’s position on this blue gold and should prevail when decisions for the longer term are made.
