I support the proposal to extend the moratorium on water bottling permits. Technology is profoundly transforming economies and communities alike. Therefore, it is essential to consider how these transformations influence our relationships with our resources, and with the environment overall. Moreover, much of the fresh water is found on First Nations territory. As such, together with ongoing research, indigenous knowledge is quintessential in helping to determine policies that will fulfill our commitment to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.
