There are many countries in the world who have made the public declaration and timed commitment to be free of fossil fuel electricity generation methods. Wind turbine methods of generation figure prominently as a component to meeting these commitments. Why is the PC Government of Ontario adamant in its purpose to shut down projects of this type and further, to waste more money by dismantling them. They are already finished or near finished. Why not just bring them on line and recoup the construction costs long term. With this proposed project closure method, no recoup of these expenditures will ever made and the costs will be added to the provincial debt instead! As far as the environmental reasoning is concerned... Seriously? Throughout Canada we have Provincial Governments whose Environment Ministries have studied this issue in very similar geographic surroundings and they have found the detrimental effects to be minimal and at best, non existent. How is it that this Ministry, in the Government of Ontario, sees this particular project as being different from the many others such that it qualifies to be closed and dismantled. There was a time when the project location was found to be adequate for purpose and reasonable to the needs of the people throughout the province. How did this previous analysis become incorrect? On what scientific basis was this decision made? Where can the research be reviewed that concluded in this closure decision? Without answers to these questions, I can only assume that promoting an inquiry might shed some light?
