This initiative to close this project is a simplistic, knee-jerk reaction that is politically motivated and has no bearing in reality, ethical awareness or fiscal responsibility.
A recent news story was quoted as saying it will cost Ontario taxpayers $3Billion (with a B!) just to cancel this project which is already well underway! After that, we will be poorer by $3Billion and we will have to start this project all over again from scratch in the future.
This initiative should be halted immediately and the project should be allowed to be completed as originally planned.
