The White Pines Wind Project…

The White Pines Wind Project Termination Act will scrap a project that has been nearly 10 years in the making, at a cost of over $100 million to taxpayers. At a time when the world is transitioning to renewable energy, this act will kill opportunities for future green energy investment, further put the climate at risk, and cost Ontario taxpayers millions spent destroying a nearly completed project.

The government could more cheaply and efficiently have cancelled further expansion but kept what was already in place and ready to supply carbon-neutral electricity but no, for simply ideological reasons, it has decided to lay waste to any investments or policies that oppose their world view. A view, which as far as I am concerned, is buried in the sand.
