With no plan of its own to combat the devastating effect of climate change caused primarily by fossil fuel emissions, the Ford government is herewith stepping backwards by stopping work that would provide a large contribution to an energy source that does not pollute the environment. There is no valid reason given for this reckless disregard for the futures of my children and grandchildren. There is no recognition that a catastrophic problem exists. There is no economic sense in failing to invest in a renewable energy sector that has the potential to power Ontario's economy for decades into the future. I have no reason to hope that this very uneducated and ideological government will listen to this or any other argument that is posted here.
