The plan to remove existing bicycle lanes is truly a sign of government overreach. Let the City of Toronto and all other municipalities decide their road use planning, the province has no business getting involved. Research has shown time and again that more lanes does not reduce traffic. The bike lanes on Bloor and University have objectively made the city better and removing them would be foolish.
I also object to fast tracking the development of highway 413. Environmental impact assessments need to proceed, it is well known that there are several at-risk species along this route and we must take care to ensure they are protected.
Do better, Conservatives.
