Great idea! I'm in favour of bike lanes where it is feasible. It makes sense to install them where it has a minimal impact on total traffic flows. Ideally they'd be installed where traffic lanes for cars and buses are not impacted. I think the proposed legislation makes sense - it is unfortunate that it is necessary however as cities and municipalities should be able to make these decisions on their own, yet they have NOT shown that they can do so responsibly. Their changes have not been supported by evidence and they have made decisions to put in bike lanes while ignoring the impact on the majority of the population.
