Do not let this proposal go through - the redirection of sewage overflow should not be allowed to drain into the West Channel and by extension Lake Ontario. We have an Environmental Protection Act for that very reason - envionmental protection! It should not be manipulated to allow the Ministry of Infrastructure to put at risk, through polluting, one of the very crown agencies it is mandated to protect - Waterfront Toronto! Two years of sewage overflow?? It can not be allowed to happen!! The harm and danger this will pose to the fish, plants and animals of the water, animals and birds of the land and sky that also access the West Channel is so irresponsible, careless and shameful if allowed to proceed! The negative impact to the recreational activities of Torontonians and visitors alike will also be quite negative. This provincial government claims, even brags, that it listens to the people, they need to start acting accordingly.
