Dumping raw sewage into a waterway is a crime against the people of Ontario, the environment and the creatures that depend on it for their lives and the continuation of their species in this province. It should be punishable by law. For shame! It makes the beaches no-go areas for thousands of Ontarians and visitors and threatens their health if they use them. All this to serve the interests of the premier, and the private company that is being paid hugely by Ontario taxpayers to install a private foreign-owned spa that will only be built to fail because few people will be willing or able to use it. Once again the costs will be borne by the Ontario taxpayers.
Doug Ford has already shown his contempt for Toronto and its environment by cutting down 850 mature trees, at a time when global warming threatens the province and the planet. An act so egregious that even the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health spoke out against it for removing an "oasis" of calm and refuge for troubled people.
Ford has now called an unnecessary and costly election. Regardless of the outcome he must be stopped from doing further irrevocable damage to Canada's largest city, and to Ontario as a province. In the meantime voters must do their part to remove him from doing any further damage.
