The continued ignoring of environmental concerns around 955 Lakeshore Blvd, Ontario Place is deeply concerning to me. The Ontario government is looking to put in an interim combined sewer which would cause raw sewage to contaminate the waters and beaches of Lake Ontario in that area. It should not need to be said how dangerous this is for wildlife and humans who make use of nearby water and beaches. How is this acceptable? The Therme spa development has been approved by the Ontario government without serious consultation with the people of Ontario, especially Indigenous and environmental groups. We are very unhappy with the proposed design and the threats to birds and other wildlife.
The dumping of raw sewage into our lake should not be deliberately allowed for any reason. Please do not allow the combined sewer to be put in as planned. Do not approve!
