I oppose the proposed interim combined sewer at Ontario Place. This plan undermines decades of Toronto’s efforts to eliminate combined sewers and prevent raw sewage discharge into Lake Ontario. It also violates international agreements protecting Great Lakes water quality and ecosystems.

The discharge poses risks to human health, beaches, CNE events, and the lake’s appeal to visitors. The province has not had a thorough public hearing, limiting transparency.

Prioritizing private interests over environmental and public well-being is unacceptable. At a time of critical biodiversity loss, protecting Lake Ontario’s stability is essential. I urge the rejection of this permit.
