This mineral exploration proposal is for two groups of claims that are in different parts of the province. 416 of the listed claims are in the region specified in the proposal (i.e. approximately 36 kilometres south of Savant Lake, Ontario), but 43 of the claims are located approximately 50 kilometres northeast of Kapuskasing, Ontario.

These 43 claims (722659, 722660, 722661, 722662, 722663, 722664, 722665, 722666, 722667, 722668, 722669, 722670, 722671, 722672, 722673, 722674, 722675, 722676, 722677, 722678, 722679, 722680, 722681, 722682, 722683, 722684, 722685, 722686, 722687, 722688, 722689, 722690, 722691, 722692, 722693, 879746, 879747, 879748, 879749, 879750, 879751, 879752, 879753) are also subject to their own mineral exploration proposal (ERO reference: https://ero.ontario.ca/notice/025-0024; Ministry reference: PR-24-000264) which is currently open for comment.

The 43 claims (listed above) that are duplicates should be removed from this proposal, and the proposal should be resubmitted by Nortec Minerals Corp. since the current proposal is in violation of the clause that the proposed claims must be contiguous as specified in the Exploration Permit Submission Guide (link: https://www.ontario.ca/page/exploration-permit-application-guide) that states “Tenure must be contiguous to be valid for a permit application submission.” Additionally, the claims are located in vastly different geographies and do not represent a unified mineral exploration project.
