I find the lack of supporting material offered online by Waste Connections of Canada Inc (WCC) concerning. I am not able to discern what are new emissions that will be generated nor what sort of modifications are being made to the facility to warrant the new ECA with limited operational flexibility.

Furthermore, the location of the facility being within 600m of the Grand River as well as the SC Johnson Trail gives me concern that an increase of pollutants or discharge of new pollutants into the air could lead to negative health effects for users of the trail as well as heavy metal contamination from discharged nickel settling on the river.

If WCC could reapply with more information regarding their proposal available online and accessible for those living outside of Toronto, I may re-evaluate my position. But at this time, I would not feel inclined to grant WCC the approval they seek.
