Not only is the closing of the White Pines project bad for the environment and the future development of renewable energy infrastructure in Ontario, it also sends a message to businesses considering investment in this province that the government cannot be counted on to honor contracts that were entered into in good faith. This says very loudly that "Ontario is NOT open for business".
