Todd Smith insists that this cancellation has nothing to do with the environment or with politics. He insists that there will be savings to taxpayers even after the costs of decommissioning and compensating wpd Canada are taken into account. I am entirely skeptical of the math he is using to calculate these "savings" to the taxpayers. As a constituent, I would appreciate seeing how he has arrived at this conclusion before the project is reduced to rubble.
