As an Indigenous community…

As an Indigenous community member, archaeology that helps uncover our history is incredibly valuable to me. I believe it would be extremely unfortunate to disregard the land's history to speed up projects, and inconsiderate to the Indigenous community members that still live here today amongst their struggles. I do not think that the speed of infrastructure production is comparably as valuable as the rich history and knowledge that could be uncovered first, and that archaeology is essential to strengthening our community.
