Bill 5 will undo alot of the work that archeologists have done to create stronger relationships with our Indigenous communties. Even though the bill states that burial sites and cemeteries will be protected we don't know where these resting places are until we do an assessment. This Bill will only protect the settler burials because there are more records of these sites. Most Indigenous burials don't have the same record thus will be unprotected by Bill 5.

If Bill 5 is implemented it will tarnish the relationship with the Indigenous community and will cause archeaology in Ontario to regress. Is this what Ontario should be know for, putting profit before their people?
