I am deeply concerned about your government’s plan to weaken protections for Ontario’s endangered species in the name of speeding up infrastructure projects.
Over 230 species in our province are already at risk. These plants and animals make Ontario special — and once they’re gone, we can’t bring them back. We need independent scientific reviews before we remove protections on any species. So many of them contribute to our ecosystems, and we cannot understand the detrimental impact until they are gone.
I urge you to reverse course. Protect Ontario’s wildlife. Invest in sustainable development ensuring that native plant and animal species are protected.
