I’m writing to express great concerns with Bill 5. For 12 years I worked as a CRM archaeologist. Preserving the cultural heritage of Indigenous Communities is important. Once the archaeology is gone, it’s gone forever. Many of my friends have dedicated their hard working lives to preserving the history of the past. Their livelihoods will be destroyed by Bill 5. The livelihoods of many hard working people in community who care deeply for the environment and culture will be affected, and the only people who will benefit are developers who don’t care a cent for the land nor its people.
Please reconsider passing Bill 5.
