These proposed changes are the most backward, ill-informed regulations that are designed to not only compromise or destroy the health of water and land areas, but also pose a risk to personal health, as waterways and drinking water sources can be contaminated without constraint. This is as backwards a set of regulation changes as one might find in any poor, uneducated, and backward regions of 3rd world countries. Apparently, we learn NOTHING from Walkerton.
I am so ashamed as an Ontarian, as I try to explain to colleagues in other provinces, throughout the US and in Europe how it is that the wealthiest province in Canada needs to 'promote businesses' that create pollution - pollution that will have to be cleaned up at taxpayers expense on behalf of those 'poor' businesses.
Of course, that assumes that we will have a province or a planet to clean up. But then, only ALL of the world's scientists agree that climate change is accelerating far faster than projected as we continue to pollute. I feel certain that Doug Ford and his team of experts know better. Where are the credible, SANE adults here?
