The language of this bill allows for the indigenous rights and protections for archaeological sights to be stripped away in the name of developments.
Allowing this bill to become legislation in its current state will regress the relationship between settler archaeologists, indigenous communities and the province.
However, if this bill were to be revised, with more concise and concrete language which reaffirms environmental and indigenous rights, this bill could transform current relations and further connect these communities.
