MNO is concerned about:
-the broad immunity for government actions which can limit legal recourse;
-the effectiveness of consultation with Métis s.35 communities in practice;
-the incorporation of the federal and Ontario Critical Minerals Strategies;
-reduced opportunities for Métis s.35 communities to consider and be consulted on the designation of -transmitters;
-the origin-based rules which could impose administrative burdens on Métis businesses lacking specialized procurement teams and may indirectly exclude Métis suppliers or service providers; and
-other issues as outlined in the attached document
