Hi there,
As a yearly seasonal recreation goer at Winnetka and Engineers Lake, I strongly believe the proposed expansion and severing of lots would be detrimental to the current use patterns of this community. I have been a part of this community for over 20 years and it has become a favorite place to bring the next generation of nature lovers. The proposed lot expansions directly impacts the current use patterns in the following ways:
1) Access in and out of well marked and maintained trails would be blocked if this property becomes privately owned. Currently there are maps used by the entire Winnetka Lake community that would support the inability of use of these trails, if the proposed is approved. These trails have been used for decades and many families take part in yearly maintenance and marking-hiking and enjoying these trails is one of the most common recreational activities at Winnetka Lake. A detailed map can be provided which clearly outlines the many trails entrance and exit points being located within the discussed land.
2) The trails allow access to the neighboring lakes- Engineers and Minkaduza. Privately owning the land that these public trails reside on, would absolutely be incompatible with the way that land is currently used. Access to these neighboring lakes would be blocked- which would intrude on yearly day hikes to enjoy much of the scenic views these trails offer.
3) "the point" is a favorite place for many to dive and fish off. It is a landing spot where Engineers and Winnetka Lake join, a meeting ground for friends and family. "The point" is accessible via kayak, canoe and paddleboards- making it a highlight landing point for young adventurist. My entire family would be devastated if this property became owned or developed.
4) Much of Winnetka Lake is surrounded by Crown Land - ensuring the preservation of nature. To allow expansion and development onto publicly accessed land seems incongruent with the preservation of this land.
I don't understand how a board of people where a majority benefit from approving this proposition is allowed. This is a massive conflict of interest- where a majority vote hugely impacts the entire community. As described above, the established land pattern usages of neighbors would be negatively impacted in many ways. Please, please, please don't allow Proposal reference #'s

Where it states "consent in an area where there is no official plan in place" - there is a decades long community accepted plan in place. The plan has always been to continue sharing and enjoying these publicly utilized areas- as evidenced, I am sure, by many peoples comments. Thank you for considering my comment when not allowing the Proposal.
